Hot Cocktails • January 2021
We thought a little focus on hot cocktails would be great for those cold Midwest nights.
London Fog | $5
1 oz New Amsterdam Gin
0.5 oz Infused Vanilla Earl Gray Tea Syrup
0.5 oz Cream
6 oz Hot Water (to top)
Drop additional Earl Gray tea bag to infuse over time
Express Orange Oils
Creamy vanilla, balanced with Earl Gray tea. A surprising combination when used with gin (our suggestion), but can also be made with vodka for a smoother treat.
Pairs well with: holding your loved one’s hands on a cold night.
Hot Toddy | $8
2 oz Four Roses Bourbon
0.5 oz Honey simple
½ Lemon juiced
6 oz Hot water (to top)
2 Dashes Aromatic Bitters
1 Cinnamon stick
Classic hot cocktail, for those blistering cold winter nights. Soothe the throat with honey and bourbon, soothe the soul at the same time. Hard to see a Wisconsin winter pass without drinking at least one glass.
Pairs well with: shoveling sidewalks and driveways.
Cocoa-Vodka Hot Chocolate | $7
1.5 oz 360 Vanilla Vodka
10g Chocolate Paste
3 oz Milk
Steam and Texture Together, top with cinnamon powder
Warm and sweet. Exactly what a boozy cocoa should be like. Served with a marshmallow on top.
Pairs well with: pretzels, salty crunchy pretzels. Dip them in if you dare.
Hibiscus Coffee | $9
Hibiscus simple
Coffee
Orange Bitters
Rum
Orange peel
Tangy, fruity, with citrus aromatics
Pairs well with: deep conversations far too late into the evening.
Mo-Heat-O | $8
1.5 oz Mount Gay Rum
1 Mint tea bag
½ Lime juiced
0.5 oz simple syrup
Top with hot water, garnished with a fresh mint leaf
Riff on the classic Mojito, turning up the heat and the puns. We suggest a small splash extra tiny-little nip of Wray & Nephew Overproof Rum, brings up this salty/brine boosting the lime acidity. But that’s just how we like it...
Pairs well with: reminiscing about summer days at the beach.
