FAQs About Renting

How many people can 5BAR’s Backroom accommodate?

We can hold up to 70 people standing in the backroom with seating for 40. The back patio can hold 35 standing. It also has a platform stage, DJ hook up, multiple comfy couches and chairs & quirky decor. We have a projector screen and smoking patio in the back.

Can I schedule a site visit?

Yes, we encourage all of our potential clients to visit during our normal business hours. If you’d like a private tour please reach out and we will attempt to accommodate as well.

Can I rent 5BAR’s Backroom for a personal or commercial photo or video shoot?

Yes. 5BAR is happy to accommodate a variety of photo, video, and commercial productions. We have done boudoir, birthday, engagement, and band photos. Please inquire about rates, capabilities, and additional details in the form above. If you are doing it to create art, let us know, we love art. Timing to rent the back is flexible throughout the day.

Can I rent the entire bar?

Absolutely! We love catering to private parties and making special events come true. 5BAR is available for full venue buyouts. Our capacity is 120 people.

Sunday:

• Back room only: first hour $300, $200 per hour after.

• Whole bar rent out $2,000.

Monday & Tuesday:

• Back room only $300 first hour, $200 per hour after.

• Whole bar rent out $2,000.

Wednesday:

• Before 10p, back room only $300 first hour, $200 per hour after.

• After 10p, back room only $1,200 first hour, $400 per hour after.

Thursday:

• Back room only $300 first hour, $200 per hour after.

• Whole bar rent out $2,000.

Friday:

• Back room only, 5p-9p $800, 9p-2a $2,000.

• Whole bar rent out 5p-9p $2,000, 9p-2a $4,000

• Private chef $150 hour (we are open to private or special menu and ingredients)

Saturday:

• Back room only, 5p-9p $800, 9p-2a $2,500.

• Whole bar rent out 5p-9p $2,500, 9p-2a $5,000

Other:

• Add a private chef $75 hour (we are open to private or special menu and ingredients), $20 per plate, more about catering here

• Add an additional bartender $50 hour

There are many ways to charge for recipe help. The blank starting place for Levi is to charge 10X the cost of the drink being created. So, if its a simple latte with a flavoring, $4-$8, multiplied by 10 - $40-$80 (plus supplies).

Hourly Fee:

• Flat $200, I will take a single 15min chat and meeting to hear if its a good fit for both parties.

Local / Driveable:

• Simple hourly for driving, starting at 5BAR, plus $0.65 per mile each way, any parking or

Travel Requiring Flights:

• Preferred airport: Chicago ORD, other close airports are Chicago Midway, Milwaukee MKE, or Madison MSN

• All travel expenses: parking, bus/shuttles, flights, boat rides, hot air balloons, all the travel and lodging plus $250 per 10hr of travel

• Note: Levi is no longer flying American Airlines due to repeated cancelled flights (non-weather related), leaving him stranded, with no compensation. An additional $1,000 payment will be required if using AA, respectfully.

We also own The Castle event space just 1 block away. It is 10X as large, with 4 stages, full bar, kitchen, sound equipment and holds 1,200 people.
